What is laser resurfacing
Laser resurfacing is a broad term that refers to targeted laser treatment of the skin’s surface. It can be ablative, where layers of skin are removed, or non-ablative, where the skin remains intact but is stimulated to repair and renew.
Treatments can be:
- Confluent – affecting the entire surface
- Fractional – treating only a portion of the skin
- Or a custom blend of both, tailored to your needs
All laser work by having tissue targets (chromophores) and the chromophore for resurfacing lasers is water. The energy selectively heats the skin and removes the part of the top layer, stimulating the body’s own wound healing response to repair the skin. The result of this process is stimulation of new collagen and elastin production.

We utilise two resurfacing laser devices.

The IMPACT™️ ultrasound technology creates an acoustic pressure designed to enhance trans-epidermal delivery through the channels created by the CO2 laser for improved overall results. Patented IMPACT™️ ultrasound technology creates an acoustic pressure, designed to enhance tissue treated by the CO₂ laser for improved skin rejuvenation and healing outcomes.
