The Antioxidant Authority
With four generations of topical antioxidant formulations, 10 patents, and more than 200 studies published in prestigious medical journals, SkinCeuticals is a leader in antioxidant science.
Dr Sheldon Pinnell established the parameters for effective vitamin C delivery into the skin which is now the gold standard for topical antioxidant formulations. Known as the Duke Formulation Parameters, vitamin C must be in its pure L-ascorbic acid form, with the correct concentration and the correct acidic pH for it to be effective.
Antioxidants are essential to neutralise the skin-damaging free radicals caused by environmental stressors including UV radiation, infrared radiation, pollution and lifestyle factors such as smoking and alcohol. Free radicals accelerate the visible signs of skin ageing contributing to premature pigmentation, visible vessels and redness, wrinkles, laxity and eventually skin cancer.
Pure vitamin C antioxidants, when correctly formulated provide advanced environmental protection and the ability to help improve the appearance premature of skin ageing.
Providing advanced environmental protection with targeted clinical correction.
Skin is naturally built for repair. When bombarded by environmental assaults, skin must focus on neutralising oxidative damage, limiting its capacity for reparative function. Daily use of pure vitamin c antioxidants, when properly formulated to penetrate the skin, protect against damage, enhancing self-repair to reduce signs of ageing.
